History Drabble: Calm Acceptance
Another fic that never made it into the archives, but OMG I am so glad I found this one, I really like it.
Drabble: Calm Acceptance. First Posted 7.24.2003.
The History Channel tells us that on February 8, 1587, Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded for treason. Her son, King James VI of Scotland, calmly accepted his mother's execution.
"Jamie, I'm going to kill your mother for treason," said Elizabeth.
James, King of Scotland, looked thoughtful.
"Can I have her room?" he asked.

I mean, we don't physically behead people for doing a rubbish job or just being inconvenient any more, but that's what the media is for.
