...Ellis is from New Jersey? Oh dear, suddenly I'm so conflicted. I liked him better as a quirky Brit, but the only people I've ever heard use this phrase are from north NJ, and they claim to be the originators of the phrase. I believe them- it's got the not-mincing-words quality I associate with that state.
