They're actually still numbered that way (I read the Narnia books in about 1986 or so) but Magician's Nephew I've always felt ought to be handed out first -- for one thing it's a more interesting book than LWW :D

Glad you're enjoying the fic! I find it rather odd that Tonks-bashers would like it in particular; she has quite a good role in the sequels. I'm fond of her myself. :)
