This hit me in the gut. But I love it. This is the first "Fallen Castiel" story I've read where someone takes in past the humorous fish-out-of-water or immediately-sexes-up-Dean into an entirely different space. It's the first time I've seen an author analyze it into how terrifying it would be, how broken Castiel feel, and look at how much strength he would have in that situation.
