Just discovered this story, and it's quickly becoming a favorite. I'm another Snape girl, like your reviewer above, and just had to comment on "we might put Snape to work. Man's climbing the walls for lack of employ." I laughed out loud - what a great nod to one of Rickman's lines in Sense and Sensibility! I love the wonderful AU-ness of this story (any fanfic is by definition, AU, after all!) and how you use and change the canon details, like Lucius being the one to catch up with Peter, etc. I especially love the humanity Harry brings out in Snape (haircut! shaky hands! Quiddich treats! pet snake!), how he calls him "my student" thinks of him as his nephew, shows jealousy at his friendships with the Gryffs. The relationship between Sirius and Remus is wonderful. It's nice (and a little heartbreaking) seeing them in such a loving home situation, considering their lack of the same in canon. This is a fabulous read - thanks!
