No, manual gearbox cars just have 'neutral'. This isn't marked as such: it just means that you haven't engaged any of the gears and the lever has returned to a central point. A quick google has failed to produce a diagram but I'm sure there must be one around somewhere. I'd say 'put the car in[to] neutral' or 'took the car out of gear', but I'm afraid I don't know offhand whether Wimsey would say the same things.
