I really enjoy where this is going. I've noticed that in this story you're writing a much more mature Harry than we're used to. I like that, and can see Harry ending up this way. It makes a lot of sense considering what's happened in the last two books.
I liked that Harry's reacting to being a tool to everyone, to being a Thing: The Boy Who Lived. DD really did treat him that way, and I think that was a mistake.
I felt that there was a bit much of the exposition fairy in the beginning part of this chapter, which I've never noticed you doing before. Yay for moving things forward, but it felt a bit rushed.
I *loved* how you're doing Ron and Hermione's reactions to Sirius, and Sirius' reactions back. I can totally see Ron reacting this way -- he's never really been confident enough in himself to think that his place is well assured at Harry's side. And Sirius' constant thought that Hermione is just a bossy know-it-all just rocks. Cuz although I like her, she is. *grin*
