Well. *ahem* That's, uh... >ö_Ô~
Well, you don't see thatevery day, do you? I'm really impressed at how Steve isn't freaking out, between nearly dying after the explosion, learning the tentacles had all been a hallucination, & especially after realizing that his libido is wired in ways hereally didn't expect (or even suspect). But it make me < EG >, imagining how frustrated Tony's going to be as he tries to suss out what Steve hallucinated about! I also love that Thor stress-cooks; Bruce is gentlemanly & thanks Steve on behalf of other people because that's what's most important to Steve; & Steve makes everyone make or eat Jell-o salads because they're a treat, goddammit! And teasing Steve about bull-riding, then watching a rodeo with him & enjoying his dumbfounded expressions at such a pointlessly violent & bizarre sport.… ;-D Ah, Team! <3 <3
Plus, y'know, the tentacles & what they did & how he reacted to them was blazingly erotic. As much as Steve feels guilty & blames himself & constantly struggles to adapt to the weird, it makes sense that he might want to just give up control sometimes. The suggestion that the tentacles visit him again that night, may even reappear in the future because he wants them, is all kinds of interesting--if they don't return when the drug's completely out of his system, will he try to find a person to tie him up & make him just feel? I'm not sure; it would make a helluva sequel though! >;->
Thanks vey much for writing & sharing this with us. As dubious as I usually am about tentacle-fic, Kiss the Sky rearranged my brain & attitude a bit. I see why it won the contest!
