You mean I've been DOING IT WRONG for the last . . . 15 years? (I was allowed to cook bacon with supervision when I was 10.) Besides, I like my bacon just a little chewy.
But I can see where Steve might be more concerned with trichinosis and such, growing up in a time when food was FAR less regulated. (I'm told that my grandmother burned the CRAP out of any and all pork products when she cooked because she wanted to kill ALL THE THINGS that might be in them.)
