That's sort of what I was going for -- when I started I was almost looking at a kind of noir sensibility for the whole piece, with Clark a little more hard-boiled than usual, which I think worked well even though I lost track of it a bit towards the end.

Dusk City -- I really should have put a note about this -- I came up with because of the old Frank Miller quote about "Metropolis is New York in the daytime, Gotham is New York at night" and I had a strong theme of them mostly spending their time together in the limnal spaces -- dusk and dawn.
