You know, and I say this as someone who hates a) most movies and b) action flicks especially, Captain America is a pretty good movie. I actually enjoyed it enough to keep it on my hard drive after I watched it.
The opening quarter of the movie, where Steve's still tiny and pre-serum, is kind of hilarious because they pasted Chris Evans' head onto someone else's tiny body, so he looks a bit like Steve Rogers, Bobblehead Doll. But the film is a lot more about Steve figuring his shit out and dealing with his new life than it is about fight scenes and action sequences; it has those too, but they're mostly backdrop to the character arcs.
