Oh my, the Torchwood AU is wonderful! The plot had me on the edge of my seat, and the characterization is A+. It's fascinating to see how Captain Ianto Jones thrives under a different set of constraints--military discipline rather than the familiar suits and old-fashioned butler protocol. Also, I kind of love how this story (by design or by AU incompleteness) has basically no Jack. Much as I love Jack/Ianto, it's refreshing to see Ianto and Gwen getting the spotlight.
