Huh, my understanding was he kept doing radio plays and cons to this day, so I would not have guessed he didn't like that aspect. In particular, I've heard stories about how kind/good with children he was at cons.

Then again did have a lot of horrible things happen to him during that time period, not to mention taking the public heat for the awful writing that was putting the show's very existence in jeopardy.
