I am so full of Diana-love right now. Not that the whole chapter isn't wonderful, but her interaction with Neal in the car feels so necessary and true. We've known for a while now that there are deep, dark scary things in Neal's past, but Diana's the one who got that look from him on the balcony and finally saw them behind his eyes. I love how you've captured her here: her composure, her honesty, and her loyalty.
