Tapping into a mythology like that - you've got stuff like American Gods and Carnivale going on, big depth potential (though, uh, should probably finish reading before getting so excited, but still). IDK if a full single novel would be the way, or a series of linked stories with the different magicians, or what, but the world is making me very grabby-hands. It's the kind of book I get very buzzed about finding in a bookshop or library and end up buying.
