For all I can certainly see slashy undertones, it is really nice to explore the relationship between Neal and Peter as one of mentorship. Peter in general is a really good mentor -- he knows how to teach people and obviously both Jones and Diana love him, as I'm sure past Probies of his have done as well. Neal is certainly a challenge, but it's so much fun to watch Peter figure out what makes him tick and how to make him tick to the FBI's rhythm. :D
