Yeah, it still sucks. And your point about his partner is valid, but he's a powerful agent -- that doesn't give him unilateral bargaining rights against an entire network, and I'm quite sure it's the network and not the show that's behind that clause. Bomer seems to have done every damn thing possible to get the word out short of saying it himself; I don't buy that his friends talked about his sexuality to the gossip rags without his backing, and obviously nobody's dinging him for going out in public with his partner and kids.

I think marrying -- it depends on the clause, which afaik isn't actually public record. If the clause only says he can't comment on it, a marriage isn't a statement to the press, at least not legally. If he's not allowed to "represent" himself as gay, it's dicier.

I mean, it undoubtedly bites, especially that he signed that clause. But I feel for the guy a little more than I did, knowing that his options were pretty fucked up when he signed.
