Jeff is probably canonically straight -- he's watching presumably het porn when the Doctor tells him to "get a girlfriend", because I don't think the Doctor would see gay porn and tell him he needs a woman. :D But it's kind of fanon; I suspect it's based on clothing and hairstyle.

My personal theory is that the Doctor didn't look very closely at what kind of porn he was watching.
