I adore the softness of the tone in which the Doctor asks the cuffs to be taken off, and Jack knowing, earlier, that the Doctor could be on top in 2 seconds if he chose, but also maybe not knowing that. It's a lovely call-back (the soft-toned authority) to the way he tells the eyeball aliens, very quietly, to "run."
