Hmm, I don't know if I went into those very much. Part of it is that what happened to Ianto is a bit of a rape allegory; it's not intentional but it's pretty unavoidable, so I steered well clear of any suggestion that he somehow invited it in or could have prevented it. The closest I get is Tosh's line about "Ianto could have killed her if he didn't love her, maybe".
