OH wow, anon, this is beautiful. A fix it for both of them - very satisfying. 'Cause Jack's big burden isn't just losing people, it's that burden of time, so my favourite part of this was the idea that Ianto gets to be something that breaks up some of Jack's time into chunks that are slightly more manageable, keeps his life on a more human scale.
