That's not really foreshadowing so much as it is aftershadowing -- the Doctor's mind is still sharp and alien, at least he said so in Journey's End, and if you compare it to the "dull and slow" human brain the Family of Blood said he had, there's got to be something chemically different there. So I just gave him a brain that's Always On. :D
