I think fics this detailed just delight me with the sheer world-building of 'ooo, and here's the El entrance to the new Torchwood' and 'this is what the fans are saying about it' and 'this is what the writers are saying about it' and... you know? I love it. I can so much more easily imagine this series with all those bits put into this.
