Re: Fic: Job Description

I had to bite my tongue to keep from adding "and then revived him!" to "Suzie'd have shot him" :D

I think it's an interesting idea, Ianto's initial anger fading into utter relief that Torchwood freed him from Lisa. It's the same with people who have been long-term caregivers for a family member and are relieved when they die, because it's just been so exhausting. We know he was suspended for four weeks, which would have made him realise just how much time Lisa ate up; I think once he got back to work he'd begin to feel how much more free he is (I had the same sensation during my first internship, when I realised I was doing the same thing as I did at school but without the eight hours of SCHOOLWORK per day :D). And I think out of that would grow this enormous gratitude to Jack and the team -- one of the byproducts of which is that great "Pray they survive" line in Meat.

Because there needs to be more fic about Ianto and Owen.

I'm at work on one but I can't figure out how to end it...:D
