This was tremendous and made me very very gleeful, and I'm so pleased that this idea was so well-written. I love that instant recognition. It's actually kinda interesting, thinking about it, because Grissom is very attentive to detail, but at the same time, he's very unobservant when it comes to social cues, rather like Dexter himself. Though, of course, it isn't identification on Gil's part, but rather the experience of all the years of encountering monsters. And it seems very in-character for Grissom to withhold judgement until he gathers more evidence. LOVE the last line. Loveloveloved it. I really really hope you write more.
