Title: The Most Amazing Things (Some Terrible Lie)
Rating: R
Summary: Tony's decision not to reveal his identity as Iron Man to the world was shrewd and calculated. Too bad it's about to backfire on him like a Jericho missile. (Steve/Tony)
Warnings: None.
Notes: This story is primarily based in the movieverse, but makes use of the situation in 616 where Tony's identity as Iron Man was initially a secret from the world and his teammates, and Iron Man was known primarily as Tony's bodyguard. Also, the title is from "Some Nights" by the band "Fun."; I'm aware that the phrase is "terrible nights" but it sounds like "Lie" so screw reality, the title was too good not to use.

BETA CREDIT JESUS: [personal profile] 51stcenturyfox, [livejournal.com profile] kallaneboi, and [livejournal.com profile] neifile7 beta'd my porn! (And the rest of it, too.) This fic was greatly encouraged by Radiophile.
Warnings: Unsafe drinking practices (Ult!Tony), discussion of character death (Peter Parker is dead in the Ultimates universe).
Notes: In the short-run comic "Spider-men", Peter Parker from the normal Marvel universe (usually designated as "616") slips through a portal into the "Ultimate" universe, which is a darker, more adult version of the 616 universe. There he meets their Spider-man, Miles Morales, as well as the Ultimate Universe's Tony Stark. Tony is visibly dying to go back through to 616 with Peter, but Fury won't let him.

BETA CREDIT JESUS: [livejournal.com profile] neifile7, Claire, and [livejournal.com profile] 51stcenturyfox made it better; [livejournal.com profile] amand_r let me throw initial drafts at her and LOLed.
Notes: I don't speak Tumblr so I don't know how to tell them I did this but the whole story is based on a tumblr post here where the author said "Headcanon: Loki randomly shows up naked and sometimes female whenever he feels like it, and whenever Tony is too drunk to remember why sleeping with the enemy is heavily frowned upon. Tony whines about it in the mornings, but Steve is never sympathetic. They agree that Thor should never be told about it."

Upon request, here is a master post for Exquisite, my epic follow-the-leader with White Collar.

Exquisite is a mild AU in which Neal has formed a sexual relationship (involving some bondage and submission) with both Peter and Elizabeth, and the story studies how their canon interactions might affect this relationship. It also introduces several original or semi-original characters including Clive the young forger, Sergeant Calhoun of the NYPD, and Captain Mike Shattuck ("Captain Shattuck" is a canonical offscreen character) who dated Peter before Peter met Elizabeth.

Rating: NC-17; language and sexuality
Warnings: Listed by chapter; so far nothing major, as far as I can tell. Some brief discussion of child abuse, some violence.

You can find all chapters in sequence at the Exquisite tag.

The recipe for becoming a good novelist is easy to give, but to carry it out presupposes qualities one is accustomed to overlook. One has only to make a hundred or so sketches for novels, none longer than two pages but of such distinctness that every word in them is necessary. One should write down anecdotes every day until one has learnt how to give them the most pregnant and effective form; one should be tireless in collecting and describing human types and characters; one should above all relate things to others and listen to others relate, keeping one's eyes and ears open for the effect produced on those present, one should travel like a landscape painter or costume designer. One should, finally, reflect on the motives of human actions, disdain no signpost for instruction about them and be a collector of these things by day and night. One should continue in this many-sided exercise for some ten years; what is then created in the workshop will be fit to go out into the world.
